Letting my “Why” lead the way…
I feel as a mom of 4 that my normal way of everyday thinking is probably a bit skewed. See, I don’t wake up every day with a big stretch, a calm exit from my bed, or even a cup of coffee with my husband.
My mornings usually consist of an immediate bottle being made (you know because my 5 month old hasn’t eaten in a million years and is dying of starvation), spilling something on myself, and just praying that I get it together to look half way decent for the client appointment I have in 30 minutes.
My mornings probably aren’t much different than those mom’s out there just trying to make it through the day, just like me. However no matter how crazy life gets, this is the reason I exist. These 4 small people and my wonderfully supportive husband are my “Why”. They are the reason I do what I do.
10 years ago I slipped into a business I had no intention of staying or even growing in. I was a single mom that had no idea how I would make ends meet let alone how I was going to raise a fully functioning member of society.
So clearly insurance was something I got into because the opportunity was there for a good job and maybe I could figure out what I wanted to do in the meantime. Boy was I wrong. Just days after starting my first insurance “job” my boyfriend at the time (now my husband) and I were involved in a serious car accident.
I was left with scars not only from the accident but also from the tremendous debt I was about to take on because I didn’t have enough insurance coverage. Months of litigation went by and the internal scars started showing as bad as the external. How could this be happening? How could I not have enough coverage to take care of “putting me back together”. I may have healed physically but that was the minute that my “J-O-B’ turned into my life mission.
I would never let that happen to anyone ever again.
Fast forward 10 years and several insurance companies later I made the decision to open my own insurance agency, probably one of the scariest most amazing moments in my life. This agency wouldn’t be just your average run of the mill joe-schmoe agency, let’s face it when you all think insurance you think of the 70 year old man on the golf course hitting balls and drinking beers (I am not much of a beer drinker anyhow).
This insurance agency was going to stand for one thing and one thing only. Integrity. I would provide my customers with a service and value they wouldn’t find anywhere else. I would be their “go to” in the most hectic points in their lives. Whether it was buying your first home, being involved in a car accident, or simply just wanting to make a payment and don’t want to have to call a 1-800 number. I would be the best they had seen or ever had given the opportunity to represent them. Thus Integrity Insurance Services was born.
I would never let anyone not know what coverage they had or what would happen if they weren’t properly protected.
My “Why” is simple. I will protect my customers as if they were those 5 people in my life most important to me. That is why I do what I do.
Whether you read my blog to get marketing tips or tricks or whether you are just trying to see what this Integrity Insurance Services is all about… I hope you read it with just a want to get to know me as you have let me get to know you.
